How the estimate works
We start from real pack-out counts for each home size, add a share for each extra person (roommates share a kitchen — they don't double it), and adjust for how much you actually own. The number lands intentionally a touch high, because running out of totes on packing night is the one failure that matters.
Furniture, mattresses, and TVs don't go in totes — moving blankets (available as an add-on) handle those.
